The location was fabulous, being close to a variety of great restaurants and cafes. It was also within easy walking distance to the Main Street, making it convenient for exploring the city. The hotel itself was well-appointed with a beautifully designed interior and a period garden that added to its charm. I had the most delightful stay at a charming property with a rich history and spacious rooms. Upon arrival, I found the keys waiting for me outside and was amazed by the lovely room. It was incredibly spacious, with a huge bed and a fantastic bathroom. Although the weather didn't permit, I had doors that opened onto a balcony for a relaxing evening. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the main street and a quick drive to nearby attractions. The host, Patty, was incredibly welcoming, making my stay even better. The breakfast spread was impressive, with a great selection of refreshments available. The individually designed bedrooms were beautiful, and I loved the Tartan room's spacious layout with a settee and tables. Everything was clean and crisp, and the recommendations for local restaurants provided a great dining experience. The garden was a sight to behold, adding to the overall charm of the property. Patty's homemade hot breakfast was a highlight, absolutely delicious. I appreciate the ample reading materials and the option to borrow DVDs. I had a wonderful and memorable experience that exceeds anything I could have imagined.
Although there were a couple of drawbacks, they were minor in the grand scheme of things. One inconvenience was the long staircase leading to the rooms.

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The location was within a short walk to the town and driving to local attractions was easy. The refreshment selection available adjacent to the breakfast room was great and the hot breakfast was delicious.
It took some time for the room to warm up due to cold air drafts and the heater required higher temperature settings to maintain warmth. Tea making facilities were not available in the room, only coffee, however, they were available downstairs in the main kitchen.
